The first part of the Mass known as Liturgy of the Word is made up primarily of passages from Holy Scripture. All participants are called to hear this Word and respond with generous hearts. To enable the children in grades three through six to answer this call they are invited to celebrate this part of the Mass seperately from the main congregation. We do this at the 10:00 A.M. Mass on Sundays.

Parents take their children with them to the main assembley, the Celebrant calls the children forward and dismisses them from the assembley, so that they might go to the Chapel where the Liturgy of the Word part of Mass is conducted for them. Following the Liturgy of the Word they return to their families in the main Sanctuary and Celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

The one who leads the Liturgy of the Word for children will provide copies of the Magnifikid in the Chapel for each student. Students are invited to take these texts home become familiar with the different parts of the Mass and complete the games and puzzles, sharing them with other members of the family.

Fee: $50 per child or $125 for a family of three or more
