EM Schedule - Jan-Feb 2009
As a reminder, we are having frequent absences from
some masses. If you are unable to fulfill your ministry assignment, please make
every effort to find a replacement for yourself. If this is impossible, please
inform your Team Leader with a phone call so that he/she is able to find a
substitute for you or contact June Gothard at

Another concern is that there
are some people on the substitute list who are not able to fulfill their
obligations (i.e., they are not able to substitute at all). If this is your
situation, please let me know so that we can remove your name from the list and
update our ministry.
We are very excited about the
Liturgical Ministry Faire. If you have not already seen the announcement in the
bulletin, the Faire will take place the weekend of September 29th and
30th. We will need members of the Eucharistic Ministers to assist
with all masses that weekend. Please let me know which mass you can cover. The
Liturgy Commission will meet with Father Dan on September 10th to
discuss our plan. So please, if at all possible, let me know before September
10th if you are able to assist us. I would also like to ask each
minister to personally invite at least one member of our parish to attend the
Liturgy Faire. Your personal invitation is much more powerful than any
announcement in the bulletin. We are in need of ministers especially at the
5:00 p.m. mass as well as the 12:00 noon mass. If you have any ideas or
thoughts or would like to help, please let me know. This Faire will be an
excellent opportunity to share with members of our parish the work of the
different ministries active in our parish.
Lastly, as we welcome our new
pastor, please have patience during this transition period. Father Dan may use
procedures that are different than you have experienced. Please be alert to
these changes and understand that foremost ours is a ministry that embraces the
Eucharist. The core of our ministry has not changed. Please have patience with
one another as well.
